Those 15 years have flown by and everything has changed since then too.
We’re obsessed with search (yes I know we need it desperately on Piccalilli) at the moment, so although we don’t use Eleventy, there’s some great principles in here for us.
And yet execs will continue to ask for “build me everything” and middle managers will keep trying to make “everything” happen, because getting stakeholders and investors excited about an Everything App is the easiest job in the world.
A thoroughly enjoyable read and I agree with the call to action. We should indeed focus on creating better screens.
This is a very cool trick. It’s a great basis to do some really creative and interesting stuff on your own websites.
